🔧 Pressing Instructions for Prestige DTF Transfers

Achieve Perfect Prints with Every Press – Follow These Simple Steps

To get the best results from your Prestige DTF Transfers, it’s essential to follow the proper heat press application method. Our transfers are designed for cotton, polyester, blends, fleece, canvas, and more — delivering vibrant, stretchable, and long-lasting designs when applied correctly.

✅ Step-by-Step Application Guide:

🔹 1. Position the Transfer

Place the DTF transfer film on your garment where you want the design to appear. Ensure it's centered and aligned properly with the sticky side down (design facing up).

🔹 2. Press the Transfer

Use a commercial heat press with the following recommended settings:

• Temperature: 325°F (163°C)

• Time: 20 seconds

• Pressure: Medium (firm and even)

💡 Tip: Make sure the press plate covers the entire design evenly for consistent results.

🔹 3. Let It Cool

Allow the garment and transfer to cool completely before peeling the film.
⚠️ Cold peel is recommended for optimal adhesion and clean edges.

🔹 4. Peel the Film

Once cooled, gently peel the carrier film away from the design. The graphic should remain firmly attached to the fabric with no lifting.

🔹 5. Second Press for Durability

For added durability and softness:

• Cover the design with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet

• Press again for 6–8 seconds using medium pressure

This final step helps bond the ink deeper into the fabric for longer-lasting wash resistance and a smoother feel.

🧺 Washing & Care Tips:

• Wait 24 hours before washing

• Wash inside out in cold water

• Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry

• Do not bleach or dry clean

• Avoid ironing directly on the print
